A Note From Jimmy
I grew up the youngest of seven, (Settimio, my middle name, meaning, seventh child of a seventh child) in an Italian family. I remember my first job that I had when I was eight years old. It was at a local deli, putting newspapers together on Saturdays and Sundays for two-dollars a day, waking up at 5:00 am. From there I would work eventually the counter, and finally got into cooking. Since then I worked in various deli/caterers, golf clubs, and restaurants, and another restaurant, doing all aspects of the business. So all my life I have had a passion for cooking and the people who enjoy it.
I started to think about what do I want and like when I go out to eat. Then it hit me...
I remember all the family gatherings and holidays. Every time we would get together, it would be a time of good food, wine, conversation, music, and of course good people (Buona Gente). This wouldn't be just a meal but a whole dining experience, So when you join us here today at Buona Gente, I would like to extend that same experience to you. Good food, music, conversation, and good people.
Thank You and God Bless, And God Bless America.
Jimmy
